BPR FOOD NEWS | NATIONAL BANANA SPLIT DAY
It’s National Banana Split Day! Although we love the decadence of this classic dessert, healthy alternatives are always welcome while we’re trying to maintain our summer bods. Enter the Banana Split Breakfast Parfait. Best of all – this can be whipped up in 10 minutes or less!
Yields: 2 servings
- 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- ½ cup unsweetened coconut flakes
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups Greek yogurt
- 1 bananas
- fresh berries
- Toast the oats and coconut with cinnamon and vanilla.
- Layer the parfaits: bananas, yogurt, berries, yogurt, toasted oats.
