Ciao, Toronto! The wait is finally over! On Wednesday, November 13th, Eataly’s first North American location officially opened its doors to the public in Toronto. As the Agency Of Record for the world-famous Italian marketplace’s first Canadian location, BPR Inc. has been immensely proud to join forces with the team of talented ‘Eatalians’ for the launch of this unmatched culinary experience!

During a private, pre-opening pasta-ribbon cutting event, Nicola Farinetti, Global CEO of Eataly was joined by John Tory, Mayor of Toronto, Eugenio Sgr, Italian Consul General of Toronto, Galen Weston Jr., Wittington Investments Ltd and Tony Grossi, President of Wittington Properties, to mark the occasion. The official pasta-ribbon was adorned with red, white and green, symbolizing the colours of the Italian flag.

The 50,000 sq ft., authentic-Italian marketplace offers guests a chance to eat, shop and learn while exploring its three restaurants, Birroteca, cannoli station, house-made gelato, caffé with built-in Gianduja fountain pouring a creamy hazelnut chocolate spread (YUM!) and aisles upon aisles of fresh and packaged grocery items – need we say more!

In keeping with Eataly’s philosophy of “Eat, Shop, Learn”, visitors can hone their skills in the kitchen by booking a cooking class at “La Scuola di Eataly”. With the help of Eataly’s knowledgeable and talented chefs, guests will master the art of authentic, traditional Italian cuisine. Want to learn more about the expansive Eataly experience? Visitors can sign up for a guided tour to get the goods on the company’s origin story, local producers, the slow food movement, and more!
